The walls were so pure white in a very concrete and grey environment so I was able to use any colour range I wanted. The mural shows circular forms in motion inspired by nature.

The original brief was a forest scene.
The room had existing blue paint on the windows and cupboards so I knew I needed to bring blue, not green into the scene. I knew it needed to be a lake in the forest. The wall had a pale grey, textured wallpaper so I incorporated that texture into the painting. It gave a pleasing feel to the ripples.
